Hiya all. Was following Xin Gaming for a while and had no clue why I hadn't signed up to the forums yet. So anyway, here I am.
To kick things off, I'm 17 years of age, almost out of high school and have an unusual and varying taste in gaming. You won't see me play anything from Blizzard, but appealing titles for the core market from many different platforms. Though that doesn't stop me from enjoying the occasional game of Team Fortress 2, Gears of War, Super Smash Bros. or any other high profile game.
I started gaming at a very early age, playing a lot of the SNES, Sega Mega Drive, PSX and even old titles run by DOS on the PC. I guess this is to blame for my acquired taste. I don't mind any platform but I'm no stranger to playfully bashing a console, so when I start mouthing off about Polyphony Digital and their inability to release Gran Turismo 5 on time, please don't take it too seriously.

I can't list every single game I like on here because it would take years. To narrow it down, I can say I'm a big fan of Rhythm and Fighting games. I love my bouts of Super Street Fighter IV, SFIII Third Strike, most versions of SFII, Darkstalkers, Marvel vs. Capcom, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, King of Fighters, Capcom vs. SNK, Garou: Mark of the Wolves and plenty more. Rhythm games is a bit of a tricky one, as I love to play Rock Band, 1, 2, Beatles (and eventually 3), Guitar Freaks, Drummania, Dance Dance Revolution (albeit very poorly), Elite Beat Agents, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! and so on. However, I absolutely detest playing any Guitar Hero after 3, as they are goddamn horrible. Activison got away with GH3's setlist once Harmonix left (the original developers that went on to develop Rock Band), but after that, no dice. I do love my role playing games too. After playing Dungeons and Dragons for a bit, I've learned to appreciate early Bioware titles, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Secret/Sword of Mana, Lost Odyssey, Chrono Trigger and etc.
If there was one game I'd say I keep close to my heart, I'd say a SNES game by the name of 'Earthbound' (Or if you're a Japan-ophile, 'MOTHER 2'). Look it up on Wikipedia because I'm not one to describe things properly, but to me it is one of the most colourful, challenging, satisfying, engaging and heartwarming games I've ever played.
But sheesh, look at me rambling, and look at ALL that text! There's plenty more where that came from but I'll stop right here for your sake. Hope to be a constant contributing member in the near future.
